Introduction:

Hemicellulose, mainly composed of xylan and mannan, is a key anti-nutrient factor in feed, which can hinder the digestion of nutrients and reduce the growth performance of animals. Hemicellulase is a complex enzyme system, mainly including xylanase and mannanase, whose function is to degrade hemicellulose and eliminate the nutrient resistance.

Hemicellulose is one of the main components of plant cell wall. Hemicellulose is a heteropolymer composed of several different types of monosaccharides, such as five-carbon and six-carbon sugars, including xylan, mannan and galactose. The digestive tract of single-stomach livestock and poultry cannot secrete hemicellulase, and the microorganisms in the intestinal symbiosis can secrete hemicellulase, such as xylanase and mannylase, to partially degrade hemicellulose in feed. Ruminants' rumen was rich in microbial flora, and the utilization rate of hemicellulose was up to 60% ~ 80%, while that of hemicellulose was lower in monogastric animals. Hemicellulase can degrade the hemicellulose in feed as monosaccharide or oligosaccharide, which can remove its blocking effect on nutrient factors, thus eliminate the anti-nutrition, improve the digestibility and utilization rate of nutrient components.

 Application

1.The animal husbandry
Adding hemicellulase into the feed can promote the digestion and absorption of fat and protein and improve the conversion rate of the feed. The enzyme preparation composed of hemicellulase and protease can also increase the daily weight gain of piglets and reduce the mortality of piglets.
2. Food industry
Hemicellulase can decompose the galactose in coffee into oligosaccharides, which greatly reduces the viscosity of coffee and thus reduces the production cost of instant coffee. Hemicellulase can hydrolyze xylan in grain flour to produce wood oligosaccharides, which greatly improves the texture and softness of bread.
3. Paper industry
The use of hemicellulase bleaching sulfate pulp, has a great enhancement effect, and hemicellulase by improving the bleachability of the pulp and reducing the need for chlorine to reduce the pollution of the environment, and improve the whiteness of paper, while reducing the production cost. The prebleaching of kraft pulp by hemicellulase is an important development direction in pulp and paper industry in the future
