The flavonols rutin, quercetin, and isoquercetin are found not only in foods such as apple and onion, but in many medicinal plants,Isoquercetin is a flavonoid, a type of chemical compound. It is the 3-O-glucoside of quercetin. Isoquercetin can be isolated from various plant species including mango and Rheum nobile . 

 This means that ingested isoquercetin itself does not reach the portal circulation; it enters the circulation either as quercetin aglycone or as a quercetin glucoside. Therefore, the therapeutic profile of isoquercetin is identical to that of quercetin. 

Application:
1. As an effective antioxidant, it is used as natural raw materials of cosmetics. For example, it can be added to the body and facial moisturizing cream, sunscreen products and other cosmetics. Besides, it can be added to the  products as a function of anti-wrinkle.
2. It has a protective effect on inflammation, cardiovascular disease, allergies, neurological diseases and other chronic diseases and has been applied to food and beverages as supplements.
