Carbomer U21 is designed for thickening of surfactant systems. This "easy to disperse" cross-linked polyacrylic acid copolymer is processed in a co-solvent system with toxicological advantages. It can produce excellent thickening efficiency, suspension ability, and long viscous flow characteristics in gel systems. And crystal transparency. Because of its low viscosity before neutralization, it is specifically designed to reduce the effect of agglomeration on water dispersions and make them easier to pump and handle. Therefore, it is easier to prepare an aqueous dispersion of Carbo 2020 with higher polymer solids.
Suggested applications include: transparent gels, hydroalcoholic gels, surfactant systems (special shampoos, cleaning products, etc.) and systems with high electrolyte content (such as aloe gel).
Note for use: After carbomer is completely dissolved in water, you need to add alkaline substances to neutralize it, such as triethanolamine, sodium hydroxide, etc.
